Qinyang Li (b.1998, China) is a multimedia artist currently based in London, UK. She works predominantly with mixed media installations, prints, and painting. In her practice, she employs patterns, image archives, and reconfigured ready-made objects, transforming them between two-dimensional images and three-dimensional installations. Additionally, she incorporates image archives, reorganizing and collaging them to create visual tension and narrative structures. Her intent is to gently respond to the non-linear impact of memories, exploring the complexity and contradictions between distance and intimacy. She highlights the coexistence of calmness and potential violence, examining the personal as political and connecting these themes to broader social structures and environments.
